Strategies:-
The Pegasus, similar to the Gryphon, also has high speed and good damage, making
it one of the most easily accessible Hit-and-Run mobile units in the game. Being
able to buy it at level 1, the Pegasus is a good unit for newbies who have just
started playing. With its range, weapon damage and speed, it can almost outrange
and outrun almost any unit! Its only competitor is the Gryphon, which is faster
and longer ranged, but more fragile than a Pegasus. A Mk5 Pegasus can put on
some L-versions of the armors making them more durable. With its rockets and
plasma beams, the Pegasus is a feared foe amongst slow and melee units.
Hit-and-Run:-
Using the Pegasus's speed as the advantage, Pegasus equipped with a fairly good
sensor(14) can shoot enemy units and run away if the enemy retaliates. Simply
turn on cloak, move into firing range of the target, press [S] and your Pegasus
will start to rain rockets, plasma beams and bullets at your enemy. Though the
Pegasus may need to be at a higher level in order to wear armor and get better
weapons, the Pegasus's ability to cloak with a Cloak-Fgen is already its armor.
Cloak-Fgen can be available to low level Pegasus that aren't able to wear armor.
Cloak makes the unit harder to spot and fire at but has a large energy consumption
rate. Be sure to equip a Methane Reactor or a Lovinac Accumulator on your Pegasus
in order for them to withstand long combat fights that require you to cloak for
a long time.
