Strategy:-
Mephits are long range missile shooters with good space and that means good
armor. Although the Mephit is very slow, it can outrange almost any ground unit.
Mephits can be repoccers provided the poc is very near and can be reached before
time runs out. Since Mephits can last very long, they can be used to support
other head-on units in an assault and protect them from other long range units.
Defending:-
Mephits can form a line behind the main defenders and try to wear out the enemy
before it gets any where close to the poc. Mephits can even survive strong nukes
but they fail to escape from War Pigeons as Pigs can fly faster than the Mephit
thus allowing it the slowly bomb it. For a Mephit to have high armor and HP,
they must sacrifice their weapons. Their weapons take up quite alot of weight
thus, they can't wear any good armor. However, the omission of weapon gives the
Mephit a new role...Repoccers.
Support:
Mephits are good supporters as they can shoot from far to decimate hit-and-run
units. Being a few meters behind the head-on attackers, they can pick of groups
of long range units before they can get to aim the attackers. Though slow and
likely to be unable to keep up with the pack, Mephits are also good alone with
their superior range and sight. Though slow, their high armor and HP gives them
the advantage of distraction. Mephits can also be used to capture a poc as they
armor and HP makes them almost impossible to destroy.
