Strategies:-
The Hawk is one of the best Hit-And-Run dogfighters there is in SG. With its
power laser, it can shoot down enemy Hawks, Condors and Owls. Its only weakness
is low armor and HP during its early stages. After Mk4 or so, it will begin to
have enough space to fit in at least a L-version of an armor. Its advantages are
pretty obvious as they fly pretty fast and respond quickly to danger.
Hit-And-Run:-
This hit and run tactic is abit different from that of Falcons. Falcons can
cloak, but the Hawk can't. Thus, it can be detected very easy. So what you need
is a very strong weapon at high stages (TL111[499 DMG]). Oh yeah, have those and
your Hawks will almost be immortal, as before anything can get close to your
Hawks, the lasers would already have them down and out. But still, a solitary
group of 6-7 Hawks cannot beat an entire mob of Owls and Hawks. What you need,
I'm going to tell you now. As stated earlier, get the TL111 weapon which does
499 points of damage. Also, make sure that your Hawks have at least 30 Armor for
them to last a few more blows. Make sure that they have a speed of at least
8.8m/sec. With this, go near (shooting range) and press [S]. If the enemy turns
to you, make sure that your Hawks at least get a shot at the enemy, run away and
press [S] again. Repeating this process is very effective against Owls, which
are not as fast as the Hawk.
